Travis Hinton

Travis Hinton is an Associate Attorney with SWLA Injury Attorneys, where he works alongside the firm’s trial attorneys on personal injury cases for people and families across Southwest Louisiana.

Travis completed his undergraduate studies at McNeese State University and earned his Juris Doctor from Southern University Law Center in May 2026, where he finished in the top 20% of his cohort. During his final year of law school, he served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Brian A. Jackson in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana. His time in federal court showed him how cases are built and decided, and it reinforced the value of careful preparation and precise legal writing. Travis also represented clients in Southern University Law Center’s Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic against the IRS where he learned that everyone, no matter their circumstances, deserves cutting-edge legal representation.

Travis joined SWLA Injury Attorneys as a law clerk in January 2026 and became an Associate Attorney after his admission to the Louisiana Bar in October 2026. Today, he supports the firm’s litigation team on cases involving motor vehicle crashes, premises liability, industrial injuries, commercial trucking crashes, and complex federal litigation.

Born and raised in Lake Charles, Travis graduated from St. Louis Catholic High School. He developed an early appreciation for public service as the son of a retired court security officer and a special education teacher, and he stays involved in the community as a volunteer with Men’s ACTS Retreats. Travis is an active writer and enjoys fitness, travel, and spending time with family and friends.
